Church Committees

Bereavement and Special Church Sponsored Events Food Committee

The purpose of the Bereavement Committee is to handle details related to funeral services for members and special church sponsored events such as Fellowship dinners.

The use of the church for funeral services of non-members may be requested by contacting the Pastor, the Bereavement Committee Chairperson, and the Board of Trustees Chairperson. However, the church will not provide a meal or refreshments for the family after the funeral services. Family members of the non-church deceased may elect to provide the meal with the approval of the Pastor, Bereavement Committee Chairperson, and the Board of Trustees Chairperson.

Additional duties of the Bereavement Committee shall include the planning, preparation, and assigning of cleaning the Fellowship Hall for special church meals, such as for Fellowship Dinners.

The membership of the Bereavement Music Committee shall be composed of the church musicians and chaired by the lead musician. The committee will coordinate music requests or provide musical suggestions to the family, Pastor, or the representative in charge of planning the funeral service.

Kitchen Committee


Individuals wishing to use the Fellowship Hall and the kitchen must first gain approval of the Church Conference, and the Kitchen Committee. The Kitchen Committee will be chaired by the Board of Trustees Chairperson and its members shall be made up of the remaining Trustees.

Men’s Day Committee

A chairperson or co-chairpersons shall be elected annually by the men of the church to plan and implement the annual Men’s Day Program. The chairperson or co-chairpersons shall establish a committee to assist with the planning and implementation of the Men’s Day Program.


Women’s Day Committee

A chairperson or co-chairpersons shall be elected annually by the women of the church to plan and implement the annual Women’s Day Program. The chairperson or co-chairpersons shall establish a committee to assist with the planning and implementation of the Women’s Day Program.
